The “inclusive” pizza from the Veano boys conquers Rimini.
The team from the social enterprise Il Viaggio, founded to create job opportunities for the most vulnerable, will be the protagonist on the stage at Sigep World 2026.
A blazing oven, expert hands rolling out dough, smiles telling stories of resilience and passion: this is how Il Viaggio, a social enterprise from Veano (Vigolzone), brought its vision of catering to Sigep World 2026, transforming the Zanolli Forni e Macchine stand into a stage for excellence and inclusion.
Il Viaggio, a social enterprise founded to create job opportunities for vulnerable people, with the goal of building autonomy and dignity through professionalism, demonstrated how it is possible to combine quality, sustainability, and inclusion between a pizzeria, brewery, relais, and farm. After nearly two years of activity, the project continues to grow, offering concrete opportunities for personal redemption through work.
The stars on stage—and especially in front of the audience—were the Il Viaggio team: Samuele, Francesco, Mhellson, Charie, and Elia, who alternated between preparation, service, and sharing their daily experiences in Veano. With natural ease and plenty of energy, they presented the project, answered questions, and distributed pizza samples, providing the audience with authentic, fun, and moving moments.
Leading the cooking show was Alessandro Facci, entrepreneur and pizza chef, founder of “Facci la pizza” and technical sales consultant for Zanolli Forni e Macchine, a masterful blend of technique, pace, and passion. Alongside him, Roberto Meloni, world champion pizza peeler, supported the students in their preparation, showcasing the talent and commitment of the Il Viaggio team.
Completing the team were owners Alberto Nicolini and Ornella Calamari, busy taking photos, filming, and answering thousands of questions from visitors, viewing the fair as an opportunity for learning and growth. The experience left a tangible mark: trust. Trust in the students, in the method, and in the strength of a project capable of staying “among the people” and making professionalism a true tool for inclusion.
The message of innovation and inclusion was also emphasized during the inauguration of Sigep World 2026: Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli emphasized how “innovation, quality, and inclusion can and must go hand in hand,” citing experiences like Il Viaggio that enhance talent and skills every day.
